Blogger's a whore...... and Pennacchio event!

Several things to report:

1. TOMORROW AT 5:30 pm at ROLANDS IN THE STRIP is the PENNACCHIO reception. Come by, have a beer, be inspired, and then run Santorum out of office.

2. Unbossed.com and my debut as a "real" blog writer unveils on Friday!

3. I'm working on some interesting research projects for classes that are spawning some good writing from yours truly. I've got about 10 posts "in the hopper". I'm hoping that once the reception is over tomorrow I'll have some time to sit and get them all out of my head and onto the web. I'll be cross posting for awhile between the new site and this one.

4. I continue to be unimpressed and uninspired by the mayoral candidates. Underwhelmed may be the best choice. I give Peduto credit, because while I don't think he's anything more than a poser, he realizes the talents of Tracy and Pat, and the resources they have at their disposal. Either of them would be an improvement over all of the candidates combined, Lamb included. (I am still supporting Lamb, but I really believe he should be much more agressive.) My main concern is what happens when/if Peduto wins. Do Tracy and Pat disband and take themselves to the City County building as policy advisors? Or do they leave Peduto to run the city? Tracy and Pat serve the city much better by doing what they do now. But what is peduto without his consultants? I do give Bill credit for surrounding himself with some of the best and brightest in Pgh. The problem is that democracy must be more than a clique to be successful.

5. I'm the newly elected Pub Admin representative to GSPIA's student cabinet. Not that this makes any difference in life, but its a fun new aspect of graduate school for me. Woo! Only four weeks left of the term, and the 4.0 is still within sight!
